In the world of signage and branding, one company stands out for its exceptional craftsmanship, creative designs, and impeccable attention to detail – Lacombe Signmasters. With a legacy spanning over three decades, this family-owned business has garnered a reputation for transforming spaces and leaving a lasting impression.
The Bald Eagle project created in early 2023 captures their talent and artistic expression. The eagle project was made using 1.5″ thick, Precision Board PBLT-20. The head of the eagle was made as a separate layer and attached using Gorilla glue. The body was composed of two layers of Precision Board, and then attached. The back area of the eagle was carved out to be able to embed a steel frame for attachment to the metal cladding.
The eagle was then primed with Coastal Enterprises FSC-88 WB and painted with acrylic paints. It was then given a “wash” to create a more realistic look. Once the piece was done, it was then pinned onto the exterior fascia of the shop for customers to admire. The FlexiCAM router and Aspire software along with a ball nose bit and straight cutter did the heavy lifting on this Precision Board PBLT-20. Creating this 19” x 60” Bald Eagle was a fun and rewarding project and the completed piece looks amazing!
