A Shoe To Remember

In downtown Minneapolis, there is a vibrant local theater called Roxy’s Cabaret with a giant red stiletto on the roof. Their logo uses two red high-heeled shoes to make the “X” in Roxy, so they were interested in some eye-catching shoe signage to go along with it. And...

Worth the wait

Worth the wait

Back in November of last year we installed the lighthouse sign at the edge of the bumper boat pool.  Here’s the POST that covered that part of the project. The weather was turning cold and we had to put off the concrete work around the base until the weather warmed up in spring. We had plenty to do on the (larger) project until then.

Is there a cooler car than a 77′ Corvette?  Maybe but this one was awesome. What a fun project it was to wrap this for John. Nanette did a great job on the design and Rad wrapped it with precision! Great job everyone.

Fun utensil rack

The next routing file I am creating is for the Cookies kitchen. It will be attached to the menu board inside. For those who take a good look at Cookie outside they will see he sports a egg beater instead of a hook on his missing hand.  The joke is he has a whole selection of other implements handy for when he needs them.

More crazy designs

More crazy designs

Between working long hours onsite in our current project during the working days and spending evenings and weekends planning the next large project the MultiCam has been idle of late. That of course will change soon as we begin work on the house once again, do all of the remaining smaller signs for our current project and then begin work on the next project right after. I did the last of the concept art for the Trinidad project last night. Now the construction and engineering drawings are underway. Thankfully they are being done by others although I have a lot of input along the way.

Callahan’s Hot Dogs – Food Truck Wrap

Callahan’s Hot Dogs – Food Truck Wrap

If you’re from NJ there’s a good chance you have great memories of Callahan’s Hot Dogs.  Callahan’s Hot Dogs has been a staple in NJ since 1950.  Unfortunately they closed their doors about seven years ago.But the grandson of founder Leonard “Artie” Castranni, had big plans for the beloved hot dog business.  Daniel DeMiglio, being a smart entrepreneur decided to resurrect the brand…and take it mobile with a food truck. Daniel contacted KDF for the branding and design on the food truck – and we were pumped! We had a short time to get it designed, printed and installed for the big debut.  we got it in right under the wire. Nanette jumped right on the design and nailed it – Rad got the vinyl done just in time. We were proud to work with such an iconic “NJ” brand and extremely happy that Daniel has brought back Callahan’s! If you see this truck YOU MUST STOP FOR A HOT DOG! Best of luck – Daniel.  Welcome Back Callahans – you’ve been missed! – Steve We started with this… And Here it is!
